An Open Letter From God

The following is something I believe the Lord would say to any of us if we were to simply listen. I humbly share this as His word to me as much as to anyone reading this.

I’m so glad you chose to read this. I’ve been waiting to tell you some of my thoughts that you really need to hear. My heart overflows with such love for you, my child. I get excited when you take the time to listen to my voice and choose to spend a moment with me. It’s why I created you — I want to have fellowship with you.

The fellowship I desire to share with you is something special. Something I have only with you. I have millions of children that I love deeply, but I only have one you. Do you realize how precious you are to me? I want to share with you a bit more about this special kind of fellowship. I think you’ve heard that word so often that it has lost some of the meaning I’ve given it.

The fellowship I desire to have with you is unique. It’s unlike the fellowship I have with anyone else on the planet. I will share this intimacy with you and only you. It is something that is our’s and nobody else’s. I know that’s hard to believe, but it’s true.

The fellowship I desire to have with you is shared. Not only can you pour your heart out to me, but I have things to share with you. I want you to understand my heart as much as I understand your’s. I have secrets and desires that I want you to know about. It’s so exhilarating to me that I can share my heart with you! I think you’ll be excited to hear these things, too.

The fellowship I desire to have with you is joyful. I love your worship. It is absolutely the most beautiful thing I get to see. I love the way it draws you to me and fills your heart with joy. Feel my pleasure as you worship me. I freely give it to my children.

The fellowship I desire to have with you is intimate. There is nothing hidden between us. I know the things that no one else knows. I understand how much you’ve been hurt and wounded. I want to talk about those things with you. I want you to allow me to bring healing to them. Stop hiding them from me. Come to me, child. Open your whole heart when you share with me about them, not just the safe parts. I really do know how to bring restoration. Just trust that my way is best and trust that my path of healing is for your good.

The fellowship I desire to have is passionate. This is where I want you to understand my heart for you. The world tries to spoil this part of our fellowship by labeling it as too emotional, but they can’t taint the love I have for you. It is a passionate love that I share freely. I gave you emotion as part of your being and love being involved in that part of your life. I want to experience life with you and share every moment!

The fellowship I desire to have is the same fellowship I have with the Trinity. We are one. We understand each other and love one another deeply. We share everything and hold nothing back. We know how the others think and see the universe. I want this with and for you.

I have much more to say, but consider all I’ve said in this letter and allow it to fully impact you. Read it again and listen with your heart. Let this type of fellowship be the cornerstone of our relationship. A relationship that is based on patience and kindness. One that does not envy or boast, nor is it proud.  It does not dishonor each other, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.  Our relationship will not delight in evil but will rejoice with the truth.  It will always protect, always trust, always hope, and always persevere. Our relationship will never fail.

This is the fellowship I desire to have with you.

I really like the part about “the world labeling a passionate relationship with God as emotionalism.” That resonates with me. No one ever says to a husband or wife, ” tone it down and stop being passionate or expressive with your love for your spouse.” If anything, we celebrate people who have such care and love for their spouse that they are free enough to show how they feel. I’m glad God gave us emotions. It is one of the things that separates us from all of the other things He created. I’m even more pleased that He desires to relate to me through my emotions. He doesn’t ask me to hide them or suppress them, but engages with me in them. He is my love and I want to show Him as much as I tell Him.

Passion. Intimacy. Love. Joy. All the things that I NEED in my inter-personal relationships. If these are lacking, then the relationship is not well. God gives all these AND MORE!! This post is great reminder that we all need to consider in our relationship with our Heaven Daddy!

Oh there are no coincidences as a child of God. The topic of intimacy with the Lord has been a main stay this week.

It is something we lack and I believe it’s because the world has perverted the word, “intimacy”, and turned into something totally ungodly.

John 21:20 has been ingrained into my heart and describes the closeness our Lord desires.

To feel the heart beat of our risen Lord! His body temperature of 98.6!

Thank you for sharing His letter!

      My wires are seriously crossed.
      John 13:23-25
“There was reclining on Jesus bosom one of His disciples, whom He loved.
So Simon Peter gestured to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.”
He, leaning back thus on Jesus bosom, said to Him, “Lord, who is it?”

Something I am going to print and read, and reread often to remind me of something I often forget and find hard to hang onto but definitely believe.

I’m glad it ministered to you, Bev. I need to re-read it, too. So easy to forget how much He loves us and longs to be with us.

Thank you for this. I received this from a very special friend and read it then in my depression let slip away. I was in a very dark place this evening when I reread it! I know it was meant to remind me of God love and to hang on.
